General Terms & Conditions
Bookings, Availability & Weather
All experiences are offered subject to availability and suitable weather conditions. Yorkshire Outdoors reserves the right to withdraw or reschedule an experience if weather or ground conditions make it unsafe to proceed. Where this occurs, the booking will be rescheduled to a mutually convenient alternative date. Refunds are not applicable in these circumstances.
Session lengths are approximate. Late arrival will result in time being deducted from the session to avoid delays to subsequent bookings. Guests must arrive at least 15 minutes prior to their scheduled start time to check in and be ready to begin promptly.
A full itinerary for any experience is available from our Customer Service Team on 01845 537766.
Cancellation Policy & Distance Selling Regulations
Once a booking has been confirmed and payment taken, the booking reserves a specific date and time and prevents others from booking. As such, in line with Regulation 6 of the Distance Selling Regulations for leisure and sporting activities, the right to cancel without penalty ends once the booking is in place.
All payments are non-refundable.
Payments
Full payment is required at the time of booking and can be made by credit card, debit card, or BACS. All payments are non-refundable.
Corporate events, stag dos, and hen dos require a non-refundable deposit of 50 percent at the time of booking, with the remaining balance payable within one month. Yorkshire Outdoors reserves the right to take a non-refundable holding deposit at management’s discretion.
Gift Vouchers – Valid for 6 Months
Gift vouchers are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase and are activity specific and recipient specific. A valid voucher must be presented to participate.
If a voucher is nearing expiry and has not been booked, it may be extended for a further 3 months upon payment of a £25 administration fee per person, plus any increase in experience cost. This must be completed prior to expiry and provided the experience has not already been booked.
Expired vouchers are not refundable. In some circumstances, Yorkshire Outdoors may offer the option to reinstate an expired voucher by upgrading or extending the experience, subject to availability and management discretion.
All vouchers purchased before or during lockdown periods were frozen and reactivated upon reopening, with the remaining validity reinstated.
Vouchers Exchanges & Transfers
Vouchers may be exchanged for an alternative experience of equal or greater value, subject to payment of any price difference. Exchanges are not permitted once an experience has been booked.
Vouchers may be transferred to another party for a £25 administration fee per person, provided the voucher has not expired or been booked.
Lost vouchers cannot be refunded or replaced.
Refunds & Amendments
Refunds are not given for bookings, vouchers, expired vouchers, or cancellations by the customer.
Changes made more than one month prior to an event date will incur a £25 rebooking fee per person. Changes within 14 days of the event are not permitted.
Yorkshire Outdoors reserves the right to postpone or discontinue an experience at its discretion. Where this occurs, an alternative date or experience will be offered.
Medical Conditions
Due to the nature of outdoor adventure activities, participation may be physically demanding. Guests must disclose any medical conditions prior to booking and confirm their suitability by signing a waiver on arrival.
Failure to meet stated restrictions, including age or medical requirements, will result in exclusion from the activity with no entitlement to a refund or alternative experience.
Proof of age may be required.
Liability
All participants aged 18 and over must complete a disclaimer prior to participation. Under 18s must have a disclaimer signed by a parent or legal guardian.
Yorkshire Outdoors accepts no liability for loss or damage to personal property or for consequential losses, including loss of earnings or travel costs. Liability for death or personal injury is limited to instances arising directly from negligence by Yorkshire Outdoors.
Force Majeure
Yorkshire Outdoors shall not be liable for failure to deliver an experience due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to war, government regulation, pandemics, or acts of God. No refunds will be issued in these circumstances.
Statutory Rights
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and all disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
