General Terms & Conditions

The experience is offered subject to availability and weather conditions. Yorkshire Outdoors cannot guarantee that the experience will not be withdrawn if the weather conditions on the day render the experience unsafe. The experience will then be rescheduled for another date. In the event of an experience being withdrawn (not due to adverse weather conditions) the customer or recipient will be offered an alternative date to undertake the experience. Session lengths are meant as an approximation only, should customers be late for whatever reason the time shall be taken from the session length so as not to make the next customers booking late. We ask that customers arrive in good time at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the session to book in and be ready to begin at the allocated time. A full itinerary of any experience is available from our Customer Service Team by calling 01845 53 77 66. Please note gift vouchers are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase. The experience is provided subject to any restrictions stated on the website or via other information provided. A failure to comply with such a restriction will prevent the customer or recipient from undertaking the activity and in such circumstances Yorkshire Outdoors is under no duty to provide an alternative experience or a refund. Please note that the recipient must provide a proof of their age if requested to do so.

Payments – Non-Refundable

Payments can be made to Yorkshire-Outdoors by Credit Card, Debit Card or BACS. We accept all major credit cards including Amex.  All payments must be made in full at the time of booking the date and all payments are non-refundable. Corporate Events, Stag do’s & Hen Do’s require a non-refundable deposit to the sum of 50% of the overall booking, when booking the date but the remaining balance must be paid in full, within a month of the initial booking. A non-refundable holding deposit may also be taken to hold the date at the discretion of management.

Gift Vouchers – Valid for 6 Months

The recipient will not be permitted to commence the experience unless in possession of a valid voucher. A voucher will be deemed invalid if out of date and is both activity specific and recipient specific. The voucher is valid until the date specified on it or 6 months from the date of purchase. If the customer or recipient is unable to utilise the voucher before the expiry date, upon payment of an administration fee of £25.00 per person before expiration and the payment of any increase in the operators’ fees (if applicable) the company shall reissue a voucher for the same experience which shall be valid for a further 3 months. This must be done prior to the expiry date of the voucher and as long as the experience has not been booked already.

Alternatively, if the voucher has expired, we offer what we believe to be a unique opportunity to reinstate the original simply by doubling your experience. The customer wins both ways, on the one hand a worthless expired voucher, on the other hand, twice the fun and enjoyment with the thrills of an extended experience.

Exchanges (Gift Vouchers)

The customer or recipient may exchange the voucher for another experience from our selection subject to the payment of any difference in price of the experience. The customer or recipient shall not be permitted to exchange the voucher if the experience has already been booked. The customer or recipient will not be allowed to exchange the voucher or be entitled to a refund in the event of losing the voucher.
All Valid Vouchers purchased before or during lockdown periods will be frozen until the company re-opens at which point the balance of life of the voucher will recommence. Vouchers have a 6-month life from the date of purchase.

Refunds and cancellations (Gift Vouchers) – Customers are not permitted to cancel a Gift Voucher, though one can be transferred to another party at a charge of a £25.00 per person administration fee, provided the voucher has not expired and the experience has not been booked with the operator. Yorkshire Outdoors reserves the right to postpone or discontinue an experience at its own discretion and an alternative activity/date will be offered to the customer. Vouchers entitle the holder to participate in a particular activity however do not have a value therefore refunds are not given against vouchers. Any changes 1 month prior to an event date will incur a re-booking charge of £25.00 per person, and changes within 14 days are not permitted.

Medical Conditions

Due to the nature of some activities, participation may be dangerous to health.  Accordingly, the recipient must notify both a representative of Yorkshire Outdoors before booking the experience of any medical condition likely to affect them. Upon signing in for the event customers are required to sign a waiver confirming their suitability for any activities they wish to participate in and absolving the company of any responsibility for ill health, injury or death as a result of taking part.

Refunds and cancellations

Yorkshire Outdoors reserves the right to discontinue an experience at its own discretion and an alternative will be offered to the customer. The customer shall not receive a refund if the event does not take place because of national war, prohibitive government regulation or anything else beyond the reasonable control of Yorkshire Outdoors. The customer shall not receive a refund if they cancel the event. Refunds shall not be given for expired vouchers.
